Well Bilt Industries USA, recently delivered Five hydraulic hangar doors to the 1108th TASMG Base located in Gulfport Mississippi. Well Bilt was one of the three approved manufactures to supply these hydraulic hangar doors and was the successful bidder providing the installation crew for the general contractor Orocon Construction. What makes this project unique is that this is the first project of its kind to utilize the hydraulic hangar door for maintenance purposes. The reason why the hydraulic option was used is because the close proximity to other buildings as well as the structural integrity that the door system boasts as well as the tight seal that the system provides.
Well Bilt supplied three doors that were 70 feet wide and 24 feet tall and two doors 60 feet wide 24 feet tall. Each door has its own individual hydraulic pump system and control panel that is wall mounted to allow for more clear space for operations.
