Well Bilt Doors supplied and engineered seven Slide N’ Hide™ 90° bi-parting tall door systems for Centennial Airport in Englewood, Colorado. The project includes three 90′-0″ wide x 29′-0″ tall systems and four 110′-0″ wide x 29′-0″ tall systems, all designed to meet a 115 MPH Exposure C wind load with a 1.0 importance factor. Each system is built to a L/240 enclosed condition and accommodates deflection tolerances of 1.5” upward and 2” downward.
The doors are equipped with our Zeus 200 Series steel wheel drive system, featuring 2 HP, 208V, 3-phase motors with VFD and PLC control for smooth operation and a travel speed of up to 45 feet per minute. Casters are fully swiveling with double flange plate steel and 9” machined treads. Track systems include 30# ASCE bottom rail with leveling bars and telescoping top guides to handle specified deflection.
Panels are constructed from hot rolled sections with field-installed light gauge girts for exterior cladding. Each system ships knocked down for field assembly, complete with EPDM weather seals, aluminum brush head seals, primed or galvanized steel components, and hardware rated to A325 or Grade 5. All engineering is signed and sealed by a state-registered engineer, with full shop drawings and calculations provided for contractor review.
